Creative Exploration

What makes you feel alive? What allows you to express feelings that are harbored inside? What inspires you? For me, creative expression goes beyond a painting class or learning to play the guitar. It is the sense of freedom and joy that I feel when I put paint to canvas. It is the soulful connection I feel to those who have gone before me when I sing or sew pieces of a quilt together. It is the excitement and pride I feel when I turn something very ordinary into something extraordinary. My art isn't hanging in galleries, I am not on a stage performing, and I do not have my poems published (yet). However, by honoring the creative whisperings of my heart, I can learn, play, grow, and get in touch with the soulful, inspiring, playful person I am.
